Doxa, TUSA Sub1000T

One of the latest additions to my watch collection has been a Doxa Sub1000T which was made in a limited series of only 100 pieces for the 30th anniversary of TUSA.

These 100 watches were produced and sold out quickly in 2008; mine is #44. Doxa informed that 50 pieces were sold through their own channels and 50 pieces were reserved for TUSA customers and staff.

The TUSA edition has a dark blue dial which carries the TUSA logo and brand name, and a highly visible orange minute hand. It features a high-grade 25 jewel Swiss ETA automatic movement, 1000 meter water-resistance, Super Luminova dial and hands for superior low-light readability, a 3mm thick ant-reflective sapphire crystal and an uni-directional NDL bezel.

The watch comes on a stainless steel bracelet in the regular Doxa aluminum tube, accompanied by a certificate stating it’s originality and unique number. The original MSRP in 2008 was $2,195.00

TUSA stands for Tabata USA and is one of the few true manufacturers in the SCUBA industry. They are designing, engineering and manufacturing their products at their own ISO 9001 certified facilities. The company produces a full line of diving equipment under the TUSA brand. For more info click www.tusa.com.
