Parmigiani, Bugatti Aerolithe

Last week in Milan, Parmigiani Fleurier unveiled its new Bugatti Aerolithe, a flyback(*) chronograph.

The Aerolithe chronograph is part of Bugatti’s “Lifeline Collection”. An assortment of accessories and clothing which designs are all inspired by the aerodynamic bodies of Bugatti cars. The Aerolithe chronograph is named after a legendary Bugatti car bearing the same name.

Sketch

The distinctive feature of the Aerolithe car is the rivet that crosses it from front to end, giving it a fluid and futuristic streamlined look. This dorsal seam was hence replicated on the watch, on each of its four lugs.

The Bugatti Aerolithe is available as of December 2013.

(*) A flyback chronograph allows the wearer to stop, reset and restart a chronograph with a single press.
